It's rare to meet a film student as professional as Ian Berry. He recently worked as the Key Grip on a student production I shot while I was serving as a mentor for the Department of Media Arts at the University of North Texas. I was impressed by his work ethic, and his ability to think on his feet and learn quickly. We attended a camera demonstration at a film gear rental house together, which showed his desire to learn more and find a place for himself in the filmmaking community. Ian is awesome, and I see a long and successful career in the film industry in his future.
